This youtube account has lots of decent highlights videos of our matches in the Prem. Even the videos the club put out only had the goals.

Plenty of people wax lyrical about Ginola's goal against us the following season but our goal here is special. Brilliant tackle and ball from Tinkler, Bullock putting Campbell on his arse, and the finish from Redders. Magic.

Funnily enough, I was going to post this soon. I love Martin Bullock's attempt. He looks surprised as the ball gets to him, he's so determined to score, ... so so determined, goalie saves it, he's still so determined, he miss kicks it, but he doesn't give up, he knocks it back to Redfearn who scores. I love it.

Hmm really enjoyed watching that. It was one of those electric atmosphere days that we came to take for granted that season. Just looking at the team sheets of players like that makes you wonder if it was all a dream.

Remember walking away from the ground and listening in to get the final scores. Not "how have Walsall or Doncaster or Gillingham got on" but waiting anxiously for the Everton, or Tottenham or Palace score, and a few others. It's like it all happened a century ago, not within living memory.

The problem is that seasons like that have warped a lot of expectations. Those who only started watching us around that time expect the same again. Me? I expect nothing. I hope for plenty, but I just expect nothing. So long as I have a football club to follow for the rest of my days I'm happy.

What happened to Armstrong for Spurs? He was a really good young striker but seemed to disappear.

When he left Spurs he went to Bolton but didn't play a game and then had two years with Wrexham
before calling it a day in 2005. I rated him. He scored a few goals in the seven seasons he was at Tottenham.
He was capped at England B level whilst he was at Crystal Palace but surprisingly never he won a full cap.

    That was a great goal.

Tinkler's interception and keeping the ball in play, then the through ball to Bullock and his trickery to set up Redfearn, who's finish was clinical.

Anderton, Klinsman, Ferdinand, Armstrong, Ginola, Campbell. Unbelievable that Spurs were so absolutely atrocious that season. Seem to remember Vega and Berti being chaotically bad in their defence, but their forward line was ridiculously good, and Campbell was no mug. Though Bullock seemed to have his measure that season.

    Oh my.

Martin Bullock running full pelt, making Sol Campbell look stupid.

I shall be in my bunk, lights out.
