Think that’s a bit patronising tbh MHTR , we have watched his contribution and yes he had good ball control and holds up well in the positions that’s not hurting the opposition who are happy to see him doing that . His lack of chances and attempts for a striker bears out that when in the important areas his first touch and composure let’s him down times d time again imo . Wouldn’t for one minute question his work rate and commitment but he’s not good enough at this level , It’s not coincidence his goal ratio both in league one and champs is abysmal IMO , his lack of ball control in the areas where it counts let’s him down .
Better to give 100% effort every time you play, than to feign injury because you don't want to play for the boss, a suggestion that was made yesterday regarding some of our 'injury-hit' players. They are the ones stealing a living if that's the case. Maybe it is a false claim. But one thing is for certain, Victor has always given 100% for the badge, and he doesn't deserve the stick that he gets. He's constantly the scapegoat and it's unfair. It seems Palmer is next in line now for singling out.
Dominated without creating any real clear cut chances. Reading had the best chances the last ditch tackle from helik where there lad tried to pull in back on his left foot and obviously the goal. Possesion means little if you don't do anything productive.
Adeboyejo doesn't deserve stick for being lazy I agree. However, he's patently not good enough at this level. He has the touch of a bull in a china shop and the nous of a lemming. Defending Adeboyejo just for his work rate doesn't scan. I would work hard if I played for Barnsley.....
Top and bottom is devante Cole had a good gave v millwall and looked a threat so for whatever reason schopp decides to drop him for vic and then give him a massive 8 minutes even putting odour on before freiser or Cole the mind boggles.
It's claims such as 'stealing a living' that I don't like. He comes across as a very honest, hardworking guy. I don't think he cuts it at Championship level, but I don't think he should be singled out time and again. And saying he is stealing a living is plain wrong.
Only seen the highlights but I was pleased to see it was Odour that beat his man to set up Britain’s chance. He’s one of well one in the team that can beat a man and create. I still think he will make a good player at this level.
He's trying hard I agree. I dont think he's stealing a living at all. He comes over as an honest guy. I would though get shut if at all feasible in the near future
i think there's a very valid viewpoint that Victor is not good enough to score goals at this level. I think it's a cold, hard fact. It's inexcusable though to abuse the lad and accuse him of ripping the club off. We should all be able to debate the merits or otherwise of players. It's a football forum after all but there's ways of doing it.
Totally agree. We can all spot players who are hiding and those that try. Adeboyejo is in the latter category.
Fair enough I don't think vic is good enough for this league but none of our strikers have been good enough this season have they? Only woodrow out of our forwards would get in any other teams in this league and he's hardly had a great 1st 12 games. Like I said why was vic even picked and Cole dropped after Cole had a good game v millwall, odour brought on before freiser or Cole? Strange
Vic is able to hold the ball up and help the team build attacks. Against Millwall none of the strikers were able to do that and I don't agree that Cole looked a threat.
