we gave 100% against Fulham a recent Prem team, we gave 100% against Swansea a prem team too in not too distant past. We need to apply that to the lesser teams and we will begin to get points on the board.
It was better than it has been, but they need extra sessions of shooting practice. Mowatt should have had another goal from his couple of poor attempts like his off target free header and off target shot. Mcgeehan missed two sitters. Chaplin should have got on the scoresheet with the chances he had such as the long ball over the top Collins did. Woodrow did brilliant to make two decent chances, but one of them (the one Simeos set up) was off target as well. We had enough chances to win two or three games and it feels like two points dropped.
In fairness mate, if these players were converting all their chances they’d be playing for someone else not to detract from a good performance.
Agree in general about shooting but think that’s a bit harsh on Mowatt with the header, he literally couldn’t jump any higher, the ball was just a bit too high for him. Outside of been a few inches taller he couldn’t have scored that
