I thought so. They used to wind me up, but that was down to them being a bogey team for so long.

Got down there early for one game and got chatting to some of their fans - good lads.

Don’t reckon much to the bloke in the sombrero who shouts ‘Chips & gravy’ though

Sadly, it's a ground I've never been to. I had tickets (I think) last season but it wasn't to be.

The bloke in the sombrero. Is the only thing that makes me smile at loftus rd. The results have been dreadful. ( apart from last season when we couldn’t be there.) An enjoyable day out if it wasn’t for the results. And the time some silly bugger.( QPR fan) threw a smoke bomb in the pub. :)

I like Loftus Rd. it’s a typical smaller london stadium in terms of being hemmed in by houses and very little if any parking.

You’re really close to the pitch and I would imagine it was a bit of a squeeze back in the days of terraces and bigger gates probably created a great atmosphere. Similar to griffin park in some respects.

Was in that pub - thought it was one of our lot that let the smokebomb off. Right on corner of Wood Lane and Shepherds Bush - The Green it's called now.

Loftus Road. Site of the ‘3 Goal Pie’ incident.

Years ago, and it was 0-0 at half time. I settled down to the second half with a pie (steak I think) they must have heated up in a nuclear reactor. As I bit into it, we went 0-1 down and by the time I’d finished it was 0-3. Think we ended up losing by 4 which was the usual in them days.

Sounded more like an humble pie than a steak one tbh.
Let’s hope the hoodoo is well and truly on the other foot regarding this fixture .

Great read that piece. If I'm honest I'd take a draw tonight right now if it were offered. They've had some good results since Christmas and our record there (last season apart) is horrendous.......

Yes mate. Downstairs where Barnsley fans were congregated. Was thrown down the stairwell.
Home fans only the last few times I’ve been.

One QPR fans summary of the interview with Red All Over made me chuckle:

Barnsley? They’re brilliant. Barnsley are brilliant because Barnsley win all the time and that’s brilliant. We used to lose all the time and that wasn’t brilliant but now we win all the time and it’s brilliant. Our manager is brilliant. He makes the players press - all the time and that’s brilliant. Pressing is brilliant. It’s like pushing except ... it’s more like pressing - brilliant. And we’ve got Billy Beane. Billy Beane what a brilliant name. Billy Beane is brilliant because he’s balls are brilliant and they’re made of money. Money balls! And that ... is brilliant!
