    Who was the last academy product to score on his home debut for us?

    I don't know the answer, been at it all night on twitter (about ten minutes) trying to get an answer.

    Did Rose? I remember him scoring against Burnley in the FA Cup in one of his first appearances just not sure whether it was his debut or not

    I can remember Glyn Riley doing it in our 1-0 win over Swansea City, April 1975. The victory ensured the club wouldn't have to apply for re election at the end of the season.

    Carl Airey scored on his league debut in a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, on the opening day of the 1982/83 season. However, that was away from home.

    David Hirst scored 2 on his debut v Charlton I believe. That was 1985/6 ish

    No he didn't. He didn't score his first goal for us until the October, when he scored the second goal in our 3-0 victory over Leeds United (Gordon Owen & Ian Walsh got the other goals).

    He certainly scored the winner in the 4-3 victory against Hull City during the 1986/87 season, old mate. But that was at Boothferry Park and Whitey specifically said home debut.
