If I was a football agent for someone like Morris or Woodrow If I had to accept a salary reduction on relegation I’d be insisting on a reduction in the fee to allow me to leave. I doubt we would get more than 1.5 million for any of them when we are relegated

Yep, and who knows how much of that would then go to Norwich / Fulham as well

I’d say selling Helik, Styles, Morris and Woodrow would cover the shortfall but whether selling Cauley with the sell on clause is with it is anyones guess

Trouble is, that would only cover the shortfall for one year, and I suspect we’d still have to sell 1 or 2 out Andersen, Collins, Brittain and Kane to make it up for year 1. Wages will still far outweigh income, so further reductions will be needed in year 2 if we don’t get promoted.

Yeah I agree. I don’t think coming back up will be easy or straightforward especially starting with what will be more or less a new team minus 4/5 sales and 4 loanees

Sell everyone off. Clear the decks and see if we sink or swim. We could be the new Crewe Alexandre.

Start using the Oakwell production line and young lads recruited from obscure London Boroughs.

    Walton.

    Sraha, Kitching, Moon,

    Williams, Benson, Ackroyd, Thomas

    Marsh, Cole, Aitchison.

That will tear up League 1.

Could definitely break some records that 11 in league one... not the right ones unfortunately.

True. I think it was the case a few years ago that Luke Steele had such a reduction written into his contract. However, alongside that was the agreement Luke could leave on a free transfer should a club wish to sign him.
