Questions for Darren Barnard/Denis Souza - Next week's LFRB

Hope it's not too late. At some point Southampton made an offer for Darren and at one
point it looked as though he was going. It was then announced he was staying.
Apart from wages what were the factors that prompted this change of mind.?

 

Just found the extract from JD's autobiography regarding Darren's proposed move to Southampton.
It was just before the game with Huddersfield which meant if he had gone, we would not have witnessed
what for me, was the greatest goal I had ever seen at " the shrine."

Apparently the move could have doubled his wages, but at the eleventh hour, his agent and himself had
a change of heart. As I said in my previous post, it would be very interesting to know why he decided to
stay at Oakwell.
