I'd agree the defence in general is playing well. However, as pointed out by others, we have conceded 3/5 of those from set pieces. Which suggests work could and should be done in this area.
I’d say arguably since the Scunthorpe game our defence hasn’t necessarily been the part of the team thrust into the spotlight, its our inability to finish chances. If we’d have scored even half the good chances we had against Coventry we’d have won that game, same against Walsall and our game would’ve been more comfortable against Gillingham. Scunthorpe with us being 2-0 may be a different matter but we did have quite a few chances when we got it back to 2-2 but could deliver the final blow to them.
Agree with that . The fact our defence had repelled most attacks succumbing to only five goals with approx three mistakes which I’m sure will be worked on . It’s the least priority of concern imo and the midfield are creating numerous chances which aren’t being taken by themselves or the forward line which is a concern imo
Could you ask him if he would bring me a large bottle of Hela curry ketchup (Delikat) the next time he pops over. Thanks in advance.
Have all of the potential language barriers been overcome? And does he use German or English when communicating with Bahre? (I'm just curious, that's all).
We have been most successful so far with 442 (with Kieffer & Bradshaw) - when Bradshaw left, why not a straight replacement there (Victor or Jacob) rather than altering the system?
I believe he is going to be presenting his vision of how he wants us to play so that will be interesting.
To be fair we although we have been playing with two strikers we weren't necessarily playing 442 in those games. In arguably our best performance at Rochdale, we played more of a 4-3-3.
I am not talking about all goals I'm talking about defending set plays , where our lads don't look comfortable in this system
Can you ask him about the 3 German officers in a tank? Only the bit about them reading a book mind. . . . . .
Would you consider playing Jackson as our holding player in front of back four. It would add height and strength when defending and on corners.
