Radio Barnsley 'Football Report' - Tonight at 7pm

Crowd funding or whatever it's called could be a good idea. I'm sure plenty would chuck some money in to help out, it would benefit us, the fans, anyway.

 

My biggest suggestion would be for folk who are no longer involved with Radio Barnsley to stop posting as Radio Barnsley slagging off presenters & people involved with Radio Barnsley.

That's better. Point still stands though, maybe hold your tongue a bit because it does smack as a bit of an ego trip now that you've left telling everybody Jake isn't very good and that the station is, basically, rubbish.

The show is a good idea. It has it's faults but so does every one. I don't listen every week but it's great that supporters get the chance to do this now.

 

I think Jake will improve as we both did when we started out (just wish he would sound more enthusiastic) but it doesn't hide the problems of the station that its spending more than its got

 

I can't be certain, but I get the impression it's not in the stations best interests to upload the recording. I think they prefer the idea of re-runs, as this will garner them more traffic throughout the week. But as we can see, most complaints are about no podcast and limited viewers when online as last night. I have contacted both lads regards sending me the recording so I can upload it via youtube (would take a matter of minutes), I've also told the manager. I'm yet to receive a yes from either.

I think Spencer is right in that the show deserves a better platform. Politics are involved which I only became aware of myself last night. And go some way to explaining why Spencer is no longer involved. It's a shame, but without a podcasting of the shows I see no future for the show on Radio Barnsley.

 

The time the show is broadcast is just of no use to me dealing with finishing work, getting the child to bed etc that's why the podcast was the only way I would listen each week usually in a couple of sittings whilst driving to work etc. Rebroadcasting the show is just as useless for the reason above and it wouldn't get me to listen to it again.

 

Good news then. The station manager has stated that the show will be uploaded to a podcast service this week (no actual date though), and that every Tuesday from next week, the previous nights episode will be podcasted as per last season.
