    Well we're now richer than both Sheffield "giants" combined. So if we were an inconvenience before...they aint seen nothing yet!

    Generally our coverage isn't bad, they cover our games and give our fans six days a week to ring in to their football phone in shows. Dearne obviously won't have enough money to compete such as match coverage, but what's stopping them promoting their local team by having an hour long phone in 6-7 every weekday night? That way we have an hour to ourselves and Radio Sheffield might give us more coverage when lower listener figures come in. They are far from perfect but I would rather question when our more local station do so little, instead of why Radio Sheffield don't do more.

    Radio Sheffield could do more by admitting the obvious bias to both Dee Darr clubs and stop trying to kid us there is no bias. Dearne FM are a small commercial station, who, apart from a period when Gordon Sheherd was Chairman following a fall-out with Dee Darr, have never claimed to give us comprehensive cover.

    I know they are small which is why I'd never expect live coverage. But there is nothing to stop them doing a weeknight phone in show for our club. The station giving us at least some coverage and a bit of a voice allowing people six days a week to phone in are getting stick. But the more local station that does nothing on this front, nobody says anything about.

    No Brian the blade......blotted his copy book .... said bloody hell and bleeding hell in less than a minute talking to Tony curry.....giddins cut him off..... got to be a record ...brian was on air and got cut of in about 65 seconds if that ..... PMSL

    I think Carlton Palmer & Tony Curry will have been pre booked for their broadcasts & the news of our takeover breaking as it did was the reason that the coverage from radio Sheffield came as it did. I actually think they have covered it quite well & it was down to callers to promote debate . I would like the Bbc to change the the name from radio Sheffield to South Yorkshire Radio & I am sure people would view it with a different attitude & dilute its bias to the Sheffield area

    Given the breadth of their catchment area they serve more people outside Sheffield than within it. Or at least they are SUPPOSED to serve...

    It's always beent same tbh ... same wi Evening Star they can't evenbe arsed to put "Barnsley" ont front o'rrit thesedays..
    Shame we ant got a radio station for Barnsley or just for bfc..especially in this online age.

    Surely there's enough know-how on here to do a fans made well made weekly Internet live radio broadcast? Forgetting the live element, you could just do a podcast.
