why do they have to ask the bulk of the questions to our managers and players ,are we on some sort of contract with them, last night after the game ,Giddings I think,it was asking Jose "how did you enjoy your first night at Oakwell",what kind of question is that,we lost, you could tell it was a loaded question trying to get Jose to say atmosphere was bad etc, luckily Jose just paused and asked him ,to repeat question as if his minds translation of it had tricked him into mis-hearing,then after re-peated question just said ," I will enjoy it more after a win ",then walked off, get shut of em, the in house media team could do a better job!
Classic one from radio when Wednesday appointed new manager . “ it’s some game to come into a massive steel city derby” ? Yes but I’ve been in the Berlin Derby in front of seventy thousand ! Yes but it’s nothing like a Sheffield derby !! Ffs you couldn’t make it up #biasedbastards
I took it that Andy was meaning to ask Jose whether he enjoyed the reception when he was introduced to the crowd - a perfectly fair question and a chance to butter up the fans. Unfortunately he didn't make this clear in the way he phrased it, and Jose understandably replied about his view of the game and result - as any professional would. You have to have a serious grudge against Radio Sheffield to take issue with that.
so a professional journalist can not ask "did you enjoy the reception you received at the start of the game ", instead words it "what did you think of your first night at Oakwell"
There are ways and means of eliciting a response; 'Jose...not the result you'd have hoped for, obviously, but did you enjoy your first game in charge at Oakwell?'
Totally different tact in interviews from the two Dee dar clubs to the rest . The fekin loved it when Keith Hill used to belittle the club every other interview
Rs “what did you think of your first night at oakwell?” Jm “get a real job you workshy talentless crapweasel”
