The ref had already booked Simoes for nothing. Having set the bar so low, the red seems fine to me. I know it's not supposed to work like that, but what the hell.

As sir Bobby said in commentary, he'd have been sent of every week for tackles like that. I would have been apoplectic if one of ours had been sent off for it.
I still think it was harsh, but you can't really complain when you don't go for the ball and just try to take the man out.
