Depends what you're having it on. Generally speaking brown sauce for pig meat and tomato for owt else.
I’m breaking the rule of the thread. I’m generally either mayo or barbecue. Red is boring and, from a discussion at work, I’m not sure anyone under the age of 30 likes brown sauce.
Red on Fish n chips or bacon n egg butty...brown on cold pork pie, smokey bacon or fried bread. Red also on a crisp butty.

Never had brown source in my life. Red for dipping chips in or spread VERY thinly on burgers or sausage/bacon sandwiches. I can’t stand anything wet on sandwiches, I won’t even have butter.
Combine them both, add some Worcester sauce and some extra sugar. And Voila! You have Cantonese Fruity Sauce, that's a trade secret i'm giving you!
