Decent point in the end, though we had a perfectly good goal disallowed which would have put us in a great position going into the run in. But the joao miss, wow! I think Kane would have done ok in that game, and Morris has to start in these games, we’re a much better team when he’s on.
I disagree. You are allowed to stand your ground. Their GK was trying to push DK over, couldn't manage it, so when the ball came over fell into the net.
I still felt we were the better side throughout, in my unbiased opinion of course! We hit the woodwork twice, played the better football, but presented Reading with an absolute sitter! Happy to go into Easter Monday in 5th place as opposed to where we've usually been in the Championship during this Millennium. Alex Mowatt was my MOTM, everything we did well went through him. His penalty wasn't the best, but it went in.
To be fair, the amount of $hitty needless petty fouls from us every game, isn't helping. Clipping feet, pulling shirts, backing in, barges, late tackles. Starting to really wind me up now, and horrible to watch at times. I'd personally like to see us talk more about that and less about the odd ref decision.
Yiadom. Disliked him since he let Bolton player walk past him when we got relegated. Exactly, take the point and move on. Glad yiadom helped us with the pen. Wish he showed more fight when he was our player.
If that’s a foul, there were probably a handful of penalties that could’ve been given at every corner as well.
Really frustrating game in the end, but we had a couple of real let offs too. Was really important we didn’t lose today and thats the positive we have to take away today with it being another game down for reading to catch us.
Not crystal clear at all. It's a close call but to me Dike doesn't do much wrong. To suggest it's a clear decision either way though is a bit daft.
You can't watch much football if you don't know that any kind of block, impeding or obstructing the keeper is a foul these days. Nailed on. It's shi-ite, but them's the rules.
We'll DK was definitely moving backwards into the keeper without attempting to get to the ball, which is a foul these days, no matter how much we disagree.
