    Died on this day in 1928.I never realised Barnsley got promotion to the Premiership on the anniversary of his death.RIP

    Arguably most important bloke ever in the history of the club. Someone else may have started a Barnsley club up at that time or slightly later but he did it. Effectively he's influenced all our lives.
