They could rebrand it as "Doubly Delicious Dressing", but it would still taste like poor quality mayonnaise which had been watered down using cheap vinegar. Vile stuff.
It's a marketing stunt. Announce a possible name change. Imaginary outcry from customers all over news channels and social media. Stores promote product on isle ends etc.. Sales of salad cream rocket. Announce 'after consideration' name isn't going to change.
We are distantly related, so the Spicer genes show themselves occasionally. Though I must point out that George uses only quail eggs and truffle infused oils for his mayonnaise.
Salad cream rules o.k ! Love salad cream , 90 % of sandwiches on my plate contain salad cream & of course chips taste better with a coating of SC , never be replaced at our house
Surely Salad Cream goes on salad and shouldn't be anywhere near bread. Mayonnaise is just wrong. Extremely Wrong!
Brown sauce on a full english or a sausage sandwich Tomato sauce on bacon butties, burger or hot dog... oh and chips Salad cream on some sandwiches that contain salad Mayo on eggs or a BLT sandwich Vinaigrette or similar on salad. That about covers it for me Oh and home made mayo is the best provided you can stop it splitting when you are making it... and no I'm not related to the charming Mr Spicer.
So what am I going to put on my salad now? Am I going to have endless salad sandwiches with the renamed stuff just to fulfil their "sandwich" proclivities? Thinks.... I'll have to invent something for salads and may have to call it Salad Cream.
Marketing stunt so obvious it has the turning circle of a cruise liner. Working cos loads of people are talking about it, too.
It is mate, if they ever stop making salad cream that will be the end of my salad sandwiches. can,t stand the taste of mayonaisse it,s cringeworthy.
Salad cream on sausage rolls.. get in! Mayo on chips.., it's even called pomme frites sauce in Germany
