Exactly, and that was my point. Sort the execution of it out and I think we will see results. The other issue that I think everyone of us could see, is that the pool of players we were buying from had stayed the same as when we were a division lower. Logic would say that for the system to work, we needed to sign a better quality of "prospect" than we did the years before, just to make the jump in quality more manageable.
We lost this season at the beginning in not having one championship striker or a fit holding midfielder, that is why we are where we are now, all the other teams have got stronger and improved throughout the season we have had to start from scratch when Jose came in changing formation to suit the players we have.
Agree wi that..... potts and lyndsey arent good enough either at the moment, i think lyndsey has potential but potts is league 1 at best. The only reason both of them have played is because there was nobody else!
And that’s why the spreadsheet hasn’t worked in a nutshell. You’ve ironically agreed with me haven’t you?
Trouble is we’ve signed a team of duds on long contracts. Fooked it up in reverse this time round. Working well this spreadsheet stuff
Not really we should have been looking at young hungry players from league 1 like Marcus maddison jack Marriott bradley dack. Instead of expecting players to jump from league 2 or like I said just sign players like matt mills he wasn't spreadsheet right laiker.
Barring mcburnie they’re all either ***** or distinctly average imho. We aren’t gunna be good enough for league one at this rate without significant quality signings being made for next season. Could well be a double drop if not.
Like I said even Conor wouldn't have been able to jump from league 2 to championship it took us 2 years to develop him. What would your transfer policy be then? Which players should we look at?
