    my contact numbers?
It is inaccessible at the moment, will not open to allow me to get into my numbers etc.
I have managed to retrieve my photos, music etc by coupling up to the laptop via usb cable but cannot access my contact phone numbers. They aren't stored on any folder in the phone that I can get into.
    Any ideas please.

If it's a Samsung then presumably it's linked to a Google account? You can log in to your Google account online and view your contacts. They should also import into a new phone automatically

Like ST says. Should be in your google account. You should also have google photo's installed so they also sync to your online account.

I've got iPhone and everything is synced and backed up to google (photos, contacts, calendar, email). If the phone was lost of destroyed, the only headache is getting a new one.

Strangely enough the same thing happened to me last week, dropped the phone
( Galaxy S4) several times , the screen has been cracked for months last week it just went black, it's accepting incoming calls and texts but obviously I can't view them....tried backing up with Kies..complete waste of time, tried it on three different computers and with two different phones, the software never recognises the phone . Phone shop near me seems to think it's no problem to fix, new screen and LCD fitted £65...I.m having it done Tuesday, I'll let you know how it goes on .

Well, as it's an old phone and I don't have that many contacts on it I've ordered a replacement digitizer screen off ebay for £3.49.
I've watched some youtube videos on how to replace the broken screen and it seems quite easy. If it works then whoopee, job done. The image screen under the top outer screen is fine, it shows icons etc in normal colour, not blacked out, so it is just the touch screen that needs replacing.
I will let you know if works.
