What I want to know is how Gally is scouting new members of this forum? Is there a spreadsheet approach? Are we going out and watching stuff on twitter? YouTube comments section? Somebody commenting on a "Did we really land on the moon" video is never going to cut it at this level. Does Gally even have a say? Do we have a scatter gun approach where we can end up with a glut of munchkins or are we looking for strength in depth in all positions. In my opinion we're only two injured happy clappers away from a crisis!!!
    :) I'm a bit bored and in a bit of a mood. :)

The jury is definitely out on the recruitment process at the moment. Ending up with the forum equivalent of far too many number 10s.

Makes good reading. After some of Heckys comments in the past, some of our supporters
had queried whether our Head Coach has any involvement in the final selection process.
Ben Hackney's account seems to confirm that he does, in that he could go and watch the player
for himself and has the final say in whether we sign a player or not. Very interesting.!

good read, that. nice to see that we have people looking all of the time... And it is good that we are a 'front foot team'. Cricket, I like.

Exactly many people used to argue Hecky wasn’t allowed any say on who we signed. That’s been put to bed now at least.

Not really. I've seen nothing so far to suggest anything other than the system people previously assumed happened happens.

Yes but that's what everyone figured happened anyway. The question that has been asked (and basically dodged) many times is do we allow it to happen the other way round? Can Daniel (and could head coaches before him) identify a specific player himself or is he only allowed to choose from a predetermined list?

Not it hasn't. Our scouting network find a list of players and Stendel gets to pick from it. It's different to Stendel going to our board with players he wants. It's the difference between a manager and a head coach.
