It's usually announced during the last week in March, so I reckon there will be news tomorrow or Friday.
https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2017/march/201718-season-ticket-information-announced/ Announced on 31st March last year, so still a couple of days left I guess, albeit at this point last year we pretty much knew which division we would be in. Although, having said that I think we know pretty much which division we'll be in next season.........
Discussing ideas was one reason for the Fans Engagement Forum to be established. Can confirm this was not raised recently so I suspect no fan input into it again.
I'd like to see a completely new approach to ticketing. Something needs to be done to bring match day prices down. I'll be very underwhelmed if it's the same bog standard season ticket announcement.
They could make em 50p and I fear you’d find an issue The only ways matchday prices comes down is either huge pay cuts for players or high subsidy (ie as Premier League clubs do for away fans) of them The situation is worse if we go down as we need money upfront for SCMP purposes
SCMP load of ******, it’s come from same pathetic spineless wimps that told all clubs they had 3 years to convert to all seater stadiums, 25 years on theirs still clubs laughing at um, just say hahahaha no thanks we’ll do what we want.
Maybe a change to match day tickets would be great , bringing them down to the average price for what ever division we are in , but I sincerely hope they keep the season tickets similar to this year, as compared to most other clubs we are very cheap & I hope they keep the free season tickets for the under 12"s , this encourages a new generation of fans & helps with family costs
Makes me laugh , all these folk on about ticket prices . Just buy a season ticket works out £16 a game or summat . Can’t get to many games for whatever reason ? Flexi ticket works out £22 a game or thereabouts . Whatever the club do they’ll get stick from the usual suspects . I always think I’m sick of this and not going to renew but I always do . One thing I do know is the fan base is crying out for some positivity , I’m sure Mr Lee et al are well aware of what needs to be done . UTR
Brentford, Peterborough, Yeovil and others, all spent money on players in wages and transfer fees instead of their stadiums whilst playing in the second tier.
There's two clubs playing in this division right now, Burton and Brentford, that don't have all seater stadiums. I like a visit to a ground with a terrace though so not unduly bothered by it.
If our owners are going to subsidise anything, I'd hope they make some big, brave moves on the ST front. I only get to a handful of games a season, and this has been the worst so far - just 2 league games to date, I think - but would buy a season ticket if they made them mega-cheap. It wouldn't have overnight impact on the gates, but persisting with it definitely would. A loss-leader for those holding the purse-strings.
You get people interested by turning casual fans into proper ones. At our current prices this will not happen. My mate couple of kids tried his lads a couple of times at more than a 100 quid it will be a while before he tries again.
Too right mate. People complaining about a few seats not being used to compare to how many are is imo complaining for complaining sake . Twelve thousand empty seats most matches and they still complain . I can understand prime areas being exempt eg bang on half way line in es etc. But rest no and as far as the family stand stuck on a corner away from the rest of the atmosphere most games unless away bring a good following then all you can hear is them
Advance U17 matchday tickets are £10 Advance U12 matchday tickets are £5 On the day, it's £12 or £7 (purchased from Box Office). https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/tickets/matchday-pricing-201718/
