I'm sorry but how embarrassing is it that some of our fans were singing, "if you've ever won at Wembley clap your hands". Presumably the same people who think football began in 1992. If you're going to goad the opposition, at least get your facts right. I also noticed that the Wednesday end collectively groaned when Adam Reach slipped, only for the ball to loop into the top corner.
Maybe they should be singing "if you've ever won at the New Wembley .... But yes no matter how much it hurts Wednesdays historic record is better than ours and we both have some fans just as thick as each other - just Wednesday have more of them
Sheffield Wednesday have a long history of First Division football. Not recently, but it's long enough. We've been up there just the once. No good trying to tell thick people that though, is it? Like those of the Sky football generation always say - football only began in 1992. Nothing before that counts.
Really ‘collectively groaned’ because the Wednesday Vlog that I watched filmed from their Kop, you could clearly hear their collective cheering and collective howls of delight when they’d scored. Certainly wasn’t a collective groan on that footage. If you get embarrassed by inoffensive football chants (factual or otherwise) perhaps you need to wear earmuffs at games because They are chanted at most football grounds across the country. I didn’t hear it because I chose not to pay the extortionate and offensive £36.00.
They did groan, watch the Sky Sports highlights. I remember noticing it on the first watch and then replaying it just to see whether I had imagined it or not.
Does Jason McCarthy hate the f*cking Wednesday? Is it true he never gives the ball awaaaaaaaaayyyy? Was Marley Watkins really as fast as lightning? We need accuracy. God damn it.
As in your dads a lovely person and so are you.... sang for a good 10 minutes if not longer at Darren Ferguson whilst manager of Peterborough...still one of the funniest chants ive ever witnessed regardless of the content ...
