Yeah, me too, made it 4-1! Wouldn't mind our defence from that game right now - Steele-Shotton-Foster-Moore-Dickinson (Trippier and Hassell were around too) and the bench didn't look too bad with Hammill, Hume, Rodriguez, Bogdanovic and Macken. Danny Welbeck scored for Preston. Must be the only period when our midfield consisted of a Brazilian, an Argentine, an Icelander and a French-Portuguese! (Plus Nathan Doyle)
Oh dear! Guilty as charged, your Honour! Do you know what? Part of the art of 'oss selection is assessing the apparent fitness of the participants. If you can see one with a fairly gleaming coat and with tight muscle definition, then it's usually a good sign they are trained to the minute to do the job. On the other hand, if their physique resembles that of Mido's then you'd best steer clear. The thing is, with greys, it often seems harder to detect these traits because you are visually distracted by the flashy colour of their coats. I loved Desert Orchid, and dipped my bread when he was c. 9/4 to win his Gold Cup (1989). I was also a great fan of Daylami, who Frankie rode to many great wins for Godolphin. But I have to own up, in this, my 40th year of avidly following the turf, I struggle to recall other greys whom I took to. I can offer no rational explanation for this, and must own up to what seems to be a natural bias on my part. I am retreating now to repent of my sins and say six Hail Mary's as my penance!
I tip my hat, sir. That is by some margin the finest (of many hundreds of thousands of) insult to be hurled my way!
Why did you say it? What were you trying to achieve? Completely embarrassing and uncalled for. No justification for it.
I think your criticism of Andy Yiadom some while ago was premature and ill-founded. And I think (although it's only my opinion and worth no more than yours) that your view of Ike Ugbo is equally ill-judged. It's a forum. We all have opinions. I intimated only that it was not the first time you had criticised one of our black players, which you confirmed in your subsequent posts. I said no more, and no less. What you read into that is up to you. It's an observation, that's all.
Why is it ill judged to criticise Ugbo? The fact that you even mentioned skin colour is embarrassing. What was the need to even bring that 'observation' up? August/September 2016 I criticised Yiadom. December 2017 I criticised Ugbo. How is it justifiable to link skin colour to those criticisms as if its relevant? Why did you feel the need to state Id previously criticised a black player? If you're trying to insinuate I'm racist as a WUM you're a joke.
I haven't said that, and for the avoidance of doubt, I do not say it. What I have said, you have confirmed with your own remarks.
I could recall two criticisms of yours which I thought were particularly ill-founded. No doubt you have criticised many others (which I can't remember). You seem very sensitive about the subject.
Embarrassed yourself. Refusal to justify the reasons you made the link and then posted it. Blatant WUM attempt is the only reason I can think of. Why you'd choose insinuating Im racist to do so is beyond me.
Just apologise and stop being a pillock. He doesn't rate Ugbo and the majority of the board agree with him - myself included.
