Sheffield FC chairman has come out saying something along the lines of "football is nothing without fans and they all deserve to watch their team play this beautiful game" before announcing the price of their new kit(s) at £19.99. Class.
The only Sheffield team I've ever rooted for. My mate used to play for them. Saw two of their games..away to Maltby Main in front of....not very many and against Inter Milan in front of 19,000 plus.
Fair play, but they play in the 8th tier of English football. £19.99 for a shirt, at that level, is still a rip off.
My old gaffer from down at Barnsleys football in the community managed them for abit... He always told me that if every owner was as good as the Sheffield FC owner then the "beautiful game" would be truly that. Daz England was a mate of mine down there too who's ended up being a decent referee and premier league linesman.
Top lad is Darren england I did my referee coarse at the same time as him Albert Rennison took the course another fantastic bloke who's done so much for grass roots football Used to pick Darren up to referee on a Sunday with him At barnsley academy Done very well for himself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just because they play in the 8th tier doesn't make production costs of kits cheaper, if anything it shows how much league clubs are ripping fans off charging £45+ for a shirt. A shirt is a shirt regardless of league position Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
