Not enough players? If anything we brought in too many players in the summer. I think I’ll leave it there, you’ve outed yourself as a WUM, again.

I’m right that they’re targets but that doesn’t mean they’ll sign.

To my mind, it's no use speculating. I'll just keep checking the Club website up to late Wednesday night to see if there are any shots of Gauthier and any new signings holding up a shirt with their name on it.

Nobody knows the reason why the McBurnie deal fell through but it did.

This is exactly like when the Manzala deal fell through and GG was chastised from all quarters only for it to transpire that it was the player who upped his demands and as such it was no fault of the club, in fact the club should be applauded for not bowing to player/agent pressures.

Hoping for a new Goalkeeper, probably Eastwood?
Reckon we will get Matt Mills for a small fee..
Really hoping Knasmullner signs, he could be the quality we are crying out for..
Mahoney & or Harvey Barnes on loan
    Probably Fletcher on loan

Hoping the rumours surrounding Williams aren't true and he stays, if not then i think we should go in with a bid for Sam Morsy, we know what we get with him and is far too good for league 1. However Wigan are flying so it probably wont happen. But certainly someone of his ilk is needed.

, your obsession with having a go at our Chief Executive is embarrassing to say the least , he was very active last window when we got 16 deals over the line , he will have been totally committed & involved with the takeover & will have been working hard this window along with others to pursue recruitment , yet every time we hit a stumbling block , no matter what the reason , you lay the blame at his door. I really think you should have a reality check & in future think things out before posting

Yes but it hasn’t been widely reported that it was GG’s signature missing. It could’ve been any old boy who has inexplicably failed to sign one of dozens of documents in the mad rush up to the deadline. Crackers to blame GG.

Morsy featured on Football Focus on Saturday before their cup tie against West Ham. The Wigan Manager Paul Cook rates him, so much he's now the captain of the team. Sam was singing Cooks praises saying he's a great manager etc.
Unless we're prepared to give him a sizeable increase on his current wages, I doubt he'd be interested in a move.
Sounded as though he is really settled there and is looking forward to playing for them in the Championship next season and to securing a regular starting place in Eygpts National team.

    I don’t know what planet you’re on.

Ganaye signed loads of players in the summer, we’ve got a lot bigger squad now than we had last season.

Got Moore in a few days after the window opened because Ipswich wanted to sell.

Most clubs want to wait until they get replacements lined up before selling / loaning their players out. Unfortunately that’s how football is, irrelevant of whether Mansford, Ganaye or Toby Tyke’s doing the deals. It’s why more deals go through on deadline day than any other day in the window.

Why on earth anyone wants their chief executive on the radio telling everyone who they’re trying to sign is beyond me. ‘Gauthier, a couple of forum posters are unhappy they don’t know enough about negotiations, get on praise or grumble & tell everyone who we’re trying to sign so every other club knows’.

The McBurnie / Yiadom deal was the fault of Swansea. 100%. I know this for a fact & that’s from someone at Swansea with no Barnsley agenda

The CEO can only offer what the hierarchy authorises him to do. That's why we have a mixture of punts and fourth division gash.

In defence of GG - he did say at the last supporters meeting that it was someone at Swansea that messed up.
    I believe that.
And as far as Manzala goes - if he agreed a deal then wanted more money when he got to the ground then the club were right to kick the foooker through the door.

In saying all that - there should have been a shed load of targets already identified and lined up before this window opened - new owners or no new owners.

While other teams - some down the road in Sheffield - have already established a FULL squad (which Barnsley haven't got) and already got another 3 or 4 more through the door to add to the squad.

We need some young quality players in during the next few days.
And the owners IMO need to get these in on permanent deals.
I hope people at the club are reading all this.

That's what I thought but was told yesterday with 100% certainty that the fault was our end

Cheers for the info interesting as always. An over inflated offer without a replacement would be big trouble. Makes me curious what owners so rich would consider too much to refuse.

You so consistently use Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United as shining examples we should be mimicking I don’t understand why you don’t go and support them. You are aware they are in the same division as us despite far more resources both financially and in terms of fan base in recent history but tha reyt they’re all spot on.

As a business - these are our business competitors.
We are competing with them for supporters.

We are a richer club than all these foookers put together.

As a business we have competed with them on a fraction of the budget and fan base. As a business, therefore, we are far better run and they are not the model to aspire to.
