Worrying silence. I can only conclude that: The owners don’t care about the fans. Because a silence of this length, in a world driven by instant access to information, is definitely a deliberate act. Not only is it disrespectful to the paying customers, but it must be a nightmare for the club’s employees. I’m beginning to fear the worst for our club.
Nah, there's been some interesting non-league matches. But seriously, you're spot on. Bridges totally burnt for me. And you're right about the club's employees too. Especially the players. What an utter disaster! Roll on Saturday.
These are supposedly big hitting business people. It’s not way I treat people in my rather modest line of work. It’s the apparent “couldn’t give a ****” attitude which is worrying me.
Most businesses don't have the instant feedback loop to understand sentiment and feeling like a football club can. They can't even plead ignorance that they didn't realise they'd made somewhat of a pigs ear of things.
Well when they've finally gone, as they surely will sooner rather than later, this will be their legacy. Threads like this. Heated arguments between fans. It's going to be a long way back.
Those non league games being a case in point. Media staff obviously busy, just not reporting on the stuff our fans want to hear. It must be a nightmare for them.

The owners are thinking one of two things. 1- Sod the fans, sod Stendel, sod the players, sod Barnsley as a town and club, we'll do what we want. 2-We've dropped a right bollock here, we're messing with the wrong 'uns with this lot. I reckon the aforementioned.
Radio silence isn't unusual. Remember under little lee when the usually verbally abundant (I know I know, pot kettle and all that) BM went missing for about 6 weeks or more when we went through that epic run of defeats. If you've got nothing good to say, don't say anything... is a common mantra you hear in business. Sadly its ridiculously out of date and incredibly damaging.
Dont worry, there will be an announcement soon telling us how difficult it will be for traffic in and around the club on Sat.
As you've said on other threads. Football isn't really business. But I genuinely don't think the owners have understood that or realised just how English football fans relate with their club. Especially in towns like Barnsley. I don't think they have any idea about pride, identity, the emotional aspect of it and the fact that us fans will always very much see the club as 'ours', however that ownership may be defined. Perhaps they're starting to wake up to it. Or perhaps they're on Venice Beach.
