His wife has passed away just three days after her diagnosis. Terrible news! :-(

Leaves an eight year old son. Very sobering.

Scary to think that even in this day in age you can go from cancer diagnosis to death in only three days, having only felt ill a few days before that.

Good broadcaster is Simon. Hope he has the strength to resume his career in due course, but his job with his son now is of course his only priority, it is not one I’d relish. We can only wish them well the poor sods.

    ******* disease.

Really sad story. Grew up watching him present Blue Peter, brilliant presenter. Can't imagine what he's going through. Shocking news story. Poor kid.

    Cancer is vile..

    But a strange one.

my grandma kept my grandads bowel cancer diagnosis away from him for years. She didn't want to scare him..

He lived a good life not knowing & in a argument she let slip he had cancer and a few month later he had gone.
