It was a lack of effort though. Especially first half total lack of effort fitness and enthusiasm to go forward tackle or press. Unforgivable basics.

Nope. It was a lack of what to do, when the opposition played like the home team.

We struggle when the opposition sits back & defends. Today the opposition came out & pressed hard, attacking from the off & we couldn't cope. What sort of opposition suits us at Oakwell then.....? Since beating Leeds last Jan we've won 3 league games out of 19 at home. That's an alarming stat......

I agree- as someone who has never done 99% of jobs on this planet I simply don't qualify to comment on anything other than running Oracle databases.
Having said that, if I put the effort into my job that I saw by a number of players today, people I work for who are not able to do my job would show me the door and request I watch I don't bang my a***e o the way out, Very unfair.

For someone usually upbeat about this group of players and coaching staff, I'm disappointed at what I've seen in the last two games.

But surely it's possible to be annoyed at Hecky from time to time, or say player x,y,z was 5h!te today, without going overboard? It doesn't mean I want Hecky sacked, or x,y,z dropped or transferred, far from it. The same group have been great in other matches, the odd one or two have a poor game, but today it was pretty much all poor bar Hedges.

Spot on. Today was about attitude. Theirs was exceptional (I.m choking as I say that) and ours was mislaid for 45 minutes.

Why not criticise? As long as you aren’t doing it directly to them what’s the issue?

I can’t build a wall but if I pay a builder to build me one & it’s crap can I not criticise because I can’t do it myself?

    Don’t get the logic

It's football. Comes with the territory. Even the players know this. The fact that they're better at it than us is totally irrelevant. If you paid a plumber to fix your boiler and they made a balls up of it, you wouldn't expect them to say 'well I'm better at it than you '.
