    What do people recommend?

I've got the S2, it's an awesome piece of kit but not as user friendly as the 4S.

Basically do you prefer something more customisable or more user friendly?

Probably the latter. I use iTunes, I already have an iPod Touch and I think I'd be more comfortable with the 4S.

That said, everyone over here raves about the Galaxy (obviously) and I thought I'd try and get a balanced view as they're the same price.

Galaxy Nexus if you want latest. The S2 and 4S are a bit old hat now. The 4S being just a spec upgrade on the iPhone 4.

I'd say get an iphone if you are a mac user and get the samsung galaxy if you're a windows user. It also depends on which screen size you prefer, though, as the galaxy is slightly bigger.

i have the s2, absolute right phone, slowly catching up on the app side of things to the iphone.

the iphone i can not stand (personal choice) it is way too over rated and slows down after about 2 months, you have to a expensive contract too which is a load of rubbish. plus they have started blowing up and blocking peoples sim cards for no reason, still to hear something bad about the s2.

but if you have had an ipod ipad etc before and love em you might as well stick with em.

I've got the Galaxy S2, it's without doubt the best phone I have ever owned. Android as well, so you can't go wrong.
