how about ( i cant remember the name of the law but it says something like "when the nazis or hitler is mention in an internet thread/debate then that is the natural conclusion) "DURING THE WAR, THE NAZIS.........................." end of all back to the telly
I just can't understand why homosexuals are basically demanding approval from another section of society whose views are diametrically opposed to their own. It's like a black man forcing the EDL to allow him to become a member.
You're not willing to give them equal rights, therefore - oppression. In what sense do you mean traditional? Yes of course I know what 'real' oppression is but I didn't realise the only form of it was the extreme kind. And no, of course you're entitled to your opinion, but everyone else has the right to disagree with or ridicule that opinion.
Or as I posted earlier......is it Politicians widening the electorate in readiness for more potential votes? The world we live in is bent lad.....feckin bent!
Difficult one. We'd have to assume that many homosexuals are not voting or if they are this issue would be enough for them to change their allegiance.
It will be hillarious when the muslims have to start allowing gay marriage. Obviously I'm assuming they will as otherwise it would be discrimination against the Church Of England.
Being able to have a civil partnership but stopping short of marriage on religious grounds is hardly oppression but you label it however you want. So does that make you a bigot? After all I am only expressing an opinion in the same way as you. What is the difference?
'Vast majority of scientific community agrees homosexuality has firm genetic basis. Some Christians believe 'the jury is still out' on evolution, too.' That first bit's simply not true, there's been no definitive evidence identified yet that homosexuality is genetic, though I'd be happy to stand corrected on this if you can point me to the evidence? There is I believe also a view that various biological factors (including in the womb) can have an influence on sexuality, however biological factors can make someone afraid of the dark, and that's something that can change over time. How would you explain those people who think they're gay yet end up living a straight life with a person of the opposite sex (or vice versa)? On the other bit - I'm open minded enough to believe that there could be a God and wouldn't dismiss intelligent design out of hand, however mainly I'm a realist who believes science will eventually provide us with the answers we seek to the big questions regarding where we came from etc. Nonetheless I respect the right of those who believe in creationism to hold their beliefs, and in some ways I envy them the comfort and reassurance their faith doubtless provides.
Cameron's trying to head off the disillusioned, drifting Liberal vote because he knows he will need them again to get re-elected.
I honestly think it's to make the country money, I am against gay people cos of one experience I had with one, but thats is one person, not all of them.
Islam isn't the state religion so wouldn't have to enact any legalised marriage. But as the Church of England is they should, or failing that should be divorced from the state. This protects their beliefs and that of democracy. Surely we have arrived at a natural conclusion of a secular state if religion's views render it incapable of performing the state's functions?
'I always think, those who shout bigot, are condemned by there own words.... ' I think there's some real truth in that, certainly in the UK and in this day and age. I'm proud to say that ours is the most tolerant, permissive, live and let live society on earth, and I think the great majority of people are now waking up to the fact that most of those same individuals and minority groups who are constantly screaming bigot or racist or sexist etc are, on the whole, basically taking advantage of that tolerance.
