Trouble is that we are witnessing the rise of the far right where it’s ok to tell people to “go home”, troll or abuse others openly - it makes me sick to my stomach but the morons walk among us! At least Tommy Robinson (not his real name) will be proud
I didn’t hear anything and if I had would have something to say. This is my Club. Racist bigoted morons are not welcome.
It's nowt to do with the far right it's simply uneducated morons with 3 pints of Stella inside them . Absolute simpletons the lot of them .
Its a big part of why my attendance at away games has dropped off a ledge. I pick and choose only the friendly days now and the number of away games a season can be counted on one hand these days.
It is a real shame but I am not sure what the answer is. I think the issue is that it is more difficult to manage who gets tickets and I have no doubt that there are some who have banning orders who attend away games.
Just a cautionary note, we've had similar accusations thrown about in the past and they were proven to be rubbish. The lads who had their faces and identities plastered over social media and various news agencies accused of racism were all later found totally innocent, made up accusation. No apologies and the damage was done. I wasn't there so cannot comment on these allegations, but I'd be very dubious. Let's not allow either an unfounded rumour or possibly a pathetic fan or two to overshadow the fantastic support shown today. Let's not start getting into the 'Millwall of the North' concerns again, the vast majority of our following are absolutely fine.
The answer is to self police within the crowd . Confront them every time, they are just nobody's who come from under their stone every Saturday with a bit of Carling bravado .
I get that and fully agree. I am not afraid to do so, but others may be and it’s not right. Fans should be allowed to watch a game of football without having to worry about idiots in the crowd.
My better half is brown. She challenges them every time. Piss funny making ****** noises next to her when im there.
I understand with what you’re saying but I have personally witnessed (away from football it must be said) how the far right (eg EDL, Britain First) have legitimised racism, bigotry etc, making it more acceptable to abuse people in this way! Is the rumour true? Is it not? I sincerely hope it’s a load of rubbish. I hate the thought that my club might be supported by such people
As much as I hate to believe it’s going on at our club there’s no reason to disbelieve the lad, reading his tweets he doesn’t come across as lad wanting to make trouble
We live 'thankfully' in a democracy that allows the public to express their thoughts no matter how extreme . The same democracy allows retaliation and self defence .
Same here. Worst I heard was someone berating Bahre everytime he messed up but nothing sinister. Whoever has been racist should be prosecuted not just banned for life. Sadly away games bring out the idiots. It's probably someone who can't handle their booze.
