I think that there will be some very regretful and sorry posters if Hill does leave. Without investment we are ****** without Hill IMO.

    In. All day, every day.

We're a project. A long term one. We might have to take a couple of steps backwards to get where we need to but we'll get there. Whether Keith ais around then who knows but he'll have put in a **** load of graft and laid some foundations for us to progress.

AS I said before Hill is not bigger than the club, it will be here a long time after he leaves and if he carries on as he is doing lately it may be sooner than he likes!

Re: To be replaced by WHO?

It's a rational question. I don't think there is a better manager than Hill available and within our reach when you consider our budget. We must keep Hill for the long term benefit of our club.

Agreed Jay. He's a very average manager in my opinion. I've seen worse but i've seen far, far better. I don't think he deserves sacking yet based on results because at times we play really well. My only real criticism of him is his ego. He thinks he is the best manager in the world and simply refuses to ever admit that he has made bad decisions. If we win then its a case of Keith Hill is a genius and the win is all down to him. If we lose then it's not his fault because we've got no money and people should accept that.

Should he be sacked for being an arsehole? No because his performance hasnt warranted it yet.
Would I feel sorry for him at all if and when he is eventually sacked? No because his cry baby interviews of no money and how amazing he is has meant I couldn't care less what happens to him as a person.

Nobody is bigger than the club but in Hill we have somebody laying the foundations for a secure and potentially bright future. No he isn't bigger than the club but I believe he and Flicker are the two single most important individuals at the club.

I cant see how we are building for the future, not with the way the club is being operated at the moment..you cant build a good squad when you are having to let your best players go just to keep afloat.

but he needs to get Hassel back in the defence and no excuses about clubs not letting players go etc, WE NEED LOAN PLAYERS NOW!! too many points easily being dropped, without a fight for them.

But say he got sacked and the next manager moved us up the table using the majority of Hill signings, don't put it past Keith to bring it up :)

Fantastic! I was hoping someone would put a poll like this on. After all, we lost today so there's no option but to sack the manager. In fact, we should build it into future managers' contracts. Lose a couple of games and you're out sonny...

I think one of the reasons he brings up the financial constraints so often when we lose is the OTT reaction that we get when we lose. Every win doesn't mean we're the bestest team in the whole wide world and every defeat doesn't mean we're sh!te. Ever since I started watching the Reds we've won some games and lost some too, with the odd draw thrown in for good measure. In general, apart from a few great seasons we've lost more than we've won. We're really not a big team in this division any more, but knee jerk reactions are so 1990s.

As a wise old sage further up the thread says, we have some decent players coming back and with them we should start picking points up again (or did he say pints?). Stop overreacting people. If you can't handle a few defeats you maybe picked the wrong team!

Once he is gone , he is gone in my eyes. Same with every other manager that goes. Except Simon Davey who I hope rots in hell for all eternity.
Although I do now take some great warmth and satisfaction from the fact he told me it would be me not him that left Oakwell first !!!

I honestly believe that he is just not good enough. And what worries me is the fact that we are lower in the league at this stage than previous seasons. This is normally our optimistic period. The period up to Christmas where we raise expectations. Home draws against Ipswich and Palace, a defeat against Peterborough and very rare defeats against Forest and Leeds suggests that we are not going to get enough points this time round.

He's gone all scruffy and "don't give a ****-y" again I see, won't be long before he either leaves or is given the boot I reckon.

Re: In - for reasons as stated by Jay

I can see your reasoning...but I believe he is good enough, and with a slightly bigger budget available we would really see it,
the difference this year is we have lost key players early in the season rather than in January like last year,it seems he has told the board he doesn't want the same thing happening...whether they take it on board with the potential takeover happening is another matter.

    No ...

... tbh I had barely even heard of Keith Hill before he was appointed, I had no opinions on his ability at all and I have no strong view at all on whether he stays or goes, I'll leave those to you fans who go to the games week in, week out.

What it is is a obvious and pertinent question to any call for a manager to be replaced - who is out there waiting to take us onward who will (hopefully) do a better job than Keith?

I note you did not answer the question - or is the answer 'erm ... well actually ....there isn't anyone..' ?

Hill not bigger than Barnsley FC ??????????

If Hill goes there is a possibility that the trap door will open and we will end up sat next to Luton..........be careful in what you say

Not only IN...........but the only person capable of keeping us in the Championship with an owner that sadly has got nowt to spend
