I think it was arrogant to think we could recruit how we have and be confident of staying up. That's my opinion if you don't think it was then that's your opinion.

I’ll be critical of him. I was critical when he was here. But I know that the recruitment was a joke and can separate the manner of his leaving to what went before.

This they would have gone for nowt thing is frankly ********. We could have kept Scowen and didn’t need to sell Roberts for a start

    Wrong - probably.

After that - why do you need to call it arrogant? You're only guessing.

But if it 's your way of dealing with things, then OK.

Winnall would have gone for nowt Conor Marley We would have got a fee for bree. Scowern I heard wanted a move closer to home and as for robo the club said on record they regret that but he is hardly pulling up any trees for brum he is a scape goat there.
Paul was part of the recruitment he over saw all the transfers watched them prior and had the final say just like Wilson and lee Jay. Anyway I'd love to keep debating but I'm having a few cold ones now.

I wouldn' have been against that Gardner is experienced also although I know he isn't our player

Unfortunately not CB, can't defend that, but sounded just like last week.

By deciding to go 2 x defensive midfielders, we immediately took away any option of replacing one for the other if needed to keep balance.
Surely 1 def & 1 attack m/f made more sense and put us more on the front foot?

Mitigating circumstances. Couldn’t play 2 up top because we’d only really got Bradshaw.

Little options in midfield because Isgrove’s been crocked all season, Hedges only performs off the bench, Moncur & Potts garbage & Gardner injured until December

It's not my way of dealing with anything. It's my conclusion based on the available eviedence. But if you don't like the word arrogant ok.

I think it was down right stupid to think we could recruit how we have and be confident of staying up.

He’s had to keep changing his side. Jackson, Yiadom, MacDonald, Pinnock, Cavare, Gardner, Fryers, Isgrove & Hedges all had lengthy spells out injured

Not true. He’s always wanted to play 4-4-2, said it numerous times, tried to play Bradshaw & Ugbo together & it didn’t work, Thiam not fit enough.

As soon as he got Moore in he went back to his preferred system.

Moncur played as a winger when Hedges & Isgrove weren’t fit & Barnes had gone back to Leicester so we only had 1 other wide option in Hammill. He actually did well there against Fulham & kept his place, poor next game so dropped. Can’t see the issue.

He gave Mowatt a chance out wide & in the middle to try & get the best out of him. Most of us thought he was worth a gamble, he wasn’t so we loaned him out. Can’t see the issue.

Well there is an argument for that.

You need to go further to make it arrogant.

Hedges was fit though against Fulham and against QPR we also had DMH on the bench and thiam played most his games in france on the wing moncur is not a winger pplaying players out of position.

My 6 year old has more pace than mowatt never played that position in his life.

Potts has also played on wing on numerous occasions.

He scouted ugbo he watched him numerous times for Chelsea u23s he should have had a fair idea of his game.

Let's be right he has done it even without injurys this season strange tactics formations and subs and stuck with Davies who cost us a goal a game but sub Angus at half time!! Should re name him Paul heckingbottom-wilson can do no wrong in some folks eyes. Some would have let him hoof balls to Bradshaw playing Newport and still be singing "he's one of our own"

Well to be honest what you are saying is sense however games rarely work out the same as you think they might do & to be honest , we attacked them with plenty of support from midfield , especially in the first half & on another day we would & deserved to go in at half time with a comfortable lead but they rode their luck , were gifted a penalty & I genuinely believe we played reasonably well & deserved to win , they only had one shot on target all afternoon & that was the penalty they should not have had but to return to your point about Williams & Gardener , they rarely played as a defensive pair today

Was Hedges properly fit though? Been out 2 months & didn’t make the squad today.

Motley-Henry not ready, loaned out to league 2.

Moncur & Potts are both used to playing out wide, both played there plenty of times before joining us.

Didn’t know that about Ugbo, probably just got it wrong then. Thought he was ready for the championship but it came too soon.

That’s the gamble with loaning kids

Just to clear it up, every time a player did well under Hecky I believe he kept his place, Hammill the first 2 months, all of Lindsay, Jackson, Pinnock & Yiadom before & after injuries, Bradshaw, Williams, Isgrove & now Gardner.

The rest? Well they’ve deserved to be switched because they’ve not performed. He tried a settled team at the start of the season but it wasn’t really working.

Only on one occasion have players who deserved to be in the team not made it & that was Cardiff at Home during a busy schedule where he matched up to them & went with a physical side & barring a fluke of a goal we’d have got a point. I disagreed with it but could understand the reasoning
