I'd have played DMH before moncur he brought hedges on for moncur v Fulham and then started moncur on the wing over hedges again at qpr.
I'l give you Potts he has played out wide for blackpool in league 2 but was most effective in center mid. Moncur has never played that he was a number 10 for Colchester always has been and same with mowatt

Regardless Moncur played well against Fulham out wide & deserved to keep his place over a novice in Mottley-Henry & a not 100% Hedges who only performs off the bench anyway.

Think he was just trying to get a tune out of Mowatt last season in different positions, the season was over & we had nothing to lose. Hope we cut our losses now as he’s not up to it

You've got a very selective memory. I can think of quite a few times we've been puzzled that someone has been dropped. Mallen and McCarthy for instance.

Davies has been poor since last April. I get why he didn’t replace him in the summer because it was only a month of dodgy form before the end of the season. I’ve not really commented on whether he should’ve been replaced by Townsend sooner as I don’t watch the U23’s so I’ve no idea what standard he’s performing at.

I wanted a new goalie in January.

I don’t rate Brad Potts but I understand why he’s played a fair bit. Williams was our only decent midfielder before Gardner got fit in December & Potts offered more defensively than Moncur & McGeehan. I would’ve never played Potts wide

Choice of opinions a natural winger or a number 10 who has never played that position and you said is **** in another post!
And as for mowatt could give him a go in net next season test it out.

When? Mallan was dropped for Williams, that’s not puzzling that’s obvious. Williams has been our best player along with Lindsay this season. I don’t think Stevie Mallan’s anywhere near ready to play in a midfield 4 against a midfield 5 containing someone like Josh Scowen.

McCarthy is an inferior right back to Yiadom. It seemed harsh because McCarthy’s a popular player who gives 100% but ultimately Yiadom’s better. I suppose the other argument is you could move Yiadom to left back but then we wouldn’t have had anyone to deliver a left footed set piece & we got 3 points from Fryers free kick a week or two later

A natural winger who’s never above conference level. I don’t rate Moncur but he did well against Fulham so it was the right choice

Davies confidence has been shot all season glued to his line he has got worse and worse. Hecky should have gave Townsend a chance and Davies a rest months back. If a player is given a 1st team chance he just had to say look nick I'm giving you a chance don't let me down.
I don't mind Williams or Gardner but they don' move the ball forward too often we would be better playing mallen moncur or Potts next to one of them. When hecky persisted with 451 you need goals fron midfield potts is our top scoreing midfielder on 3

I'm not wasting my time arguing with someone so blinkered. He has tinkered too much.

Have to agree to disagree I just don't like to see players played out of position and been judged on these games.

Well it seems to me that you need to establish something first of all, before you go on to determine whether it's arrogant or not.
Maybe in your arrogance you are correct.

Maybe so. Like the arrogant assumption it's "My way of dealing with things"

Such a poor argument. We can all say ‘I’m not arguing with someone so blinkered’ to every single post on here.

If you think Mallan & McCarthy are better than Williams & Yiadom just say that, don’t need to get silly talking about been blinkered

Implying that thinking it must be some sort of coping mechanism not a rational position. Any way if you want the last word go ahead I've lost interest now.

[QUOTE Glad we dropped the keeper who was costing us a goal a game,

Wouldn't have made much difference today though.

You're being stupid trying to say that we haven't left anyone out after they've had a good game. That's why I've got no time for you.

I didn’t say an individual game, I said whenever players did well.

I can’t claim to recall every single one off performance.

I do think that Cardiff aside he’s not tinkered with anyone showing a run of good form.

Mallan & McCarthy shown a bit of promise at times but I don’t think either have ever played well enough to keep better players out.

And both only got in the side in the first place due to injury & suspension rather than tinkering
