As I recall we had a plan when Robins left, but that went tits up and Hill left, then we had a new/revised plan which then went tits up under Flicker and then we had a new/revised plan under Wilson and now he's gone....

The actual sacking of any manager who has lost 50% of his games isn't a surprise, but given what has happened and been said, imho this particular sacking is. I have zero belief in the ability of the decision makers at Oakwell to arrest our decline. No matter what the budget is in comparison to other clubs.

 

Its the fact we're suddenly using budgetary considerations as a reason for sacking the manager. Funnily enough, when we kept sacking managers in the Championship operating on the lowest budgets this never formed part of the press release. So we only decide relative expenditure to the rest of the division applies as a reason to sack a manager, not a reason to stick with them.

but long tall and short is if its your money you want value for it and if there appears to be a no discernible progress you'll reserve the right to make a change.

Fickle as fck us fans, but just remember if you bairn like hell at a decision and it proves to be the right one, someone will embarrass you online with a back to top....;-)

 

That's pretty much what I've been thinking too mate, but I was finding it difficult to express exactly what I meant. What I wanted to say is what you've written, it's absolutely bang on.

Oh I have no doubt that as a direct result of me being unimpressed today, the next manager will get us promoted this season. I was happy we appointed Spackman, don't anyone listen to my ******

I think the £500k statement was so deliberately ambiguous in the accounting statements that it was bordering on useless.

 

That should be our tag line.

 

I have previously indicated on the bbs that I tough wsb had an ulterior motive to bring about a takeover of the club. If you did I apologise for any offence. But nows the time to up it (if you did) and get rid of our owner/board and start afresh at the top instead of this rediculous onslaught of different managers every f*****g year. Angry and disappointed is not the word. Sack the board sack the board repeat

I like many on here spent money following Barnsley when John Steele, McSeveney and Iley managed us in the 3rd and 4th divisions. There were not many watching: probably a few more than the 2,700 season tickets we had in 1996. The football at times was dire, but we still put part of our wages to support the team. I see no reason to withdraw my support just because we are having a spell similar to those I have witnessed in the past. Probably because I am from a different generation I have different values from the majority on here.

It's not an ulterior motive. I believe Barnsley Football Club should be run by an elected board of directors chosen by other supporters just like I do any football club. I'll use WSB to push that however I can.

No. I'm saying no one man should own our football club. It should be overseen by an elected board chosen by other supporters. It's not one man's play thing.
