    I agree with some sentiments of the original post though not necessarily with the way they were phased. We have quality in central midfield but not much in terms of quality numbers elsewhere. The squad looks weaker to me than it did last year. I'm a big fan of both Bree and Smith but expecting a full 46+ Game season out of them with no cover seems a bit crazy to me. It's ok to say we are not playing with wingers. What happens if plan A is not successful and our two teenage wing backs cannot consistently provide width. Up front we have Sam then no one else if Wilkinson is not really a striker (which his goal scoring record backs up) there seems little cover for Sam (as things stand).

    As for loans at the end of the day they aren't our players so planning around them is just a bit daft IMO.

    To be fair we've had a three month off season so plenty of time to sort it by now. Mansford and LJ have both mentioned how we are always looking to improve the side. I reckon keeping an eye on players and the market all year round leaves plenty of time to sort in the three month off season a couple of signings so it doesn't drag on and on.
