Why Brad Collins is playing today with Jack Walton on the bench.

No I’m totally baffled by that as well. What did Walton do to get dropped

There's too much underneathing going on here. Collins, Ritzmare playing - while Oduor and Chaplin are wasting?

Hope we actually get a good manager in now, cos Struber is just... awful.

Struber doesn't want the new NYRB keeper picking up an injury

I think there are some of the starting 11 that are far more likely to follow him to NY. They’ll have to get it done quickly though, or wait till January.

I think Struber may look at how well Collins plays the ball out from the back. His short passing distribution is better than Waltons.

But our defenders short passing is awful. It's Andersen's biggest weakness.

But it's how Struber will always persist in playing and maybe feels Collins suits that style of play better. He won't change however many bad passes cockups our defenders make. Collins isn't a better keeper than Walton and hasn't made any mistakes so I'm struggling to think of another reason.

On the same thing mentioned above. Collins hasn't put a foot wrong either so I think we have 2 keepers battling out for 1st choice at the moment. I agreea, Collins distribution has been better than Waltons so far.

Why does the MLS window close when ours does? I thought it was just European leagues

Just looked, you’re right their window runs a bit longer.

Am still guessing that your post about not wanting Walton to get injured was laced with sarcasm though?

Not sure that Collins did anything in the Chelsea game to be worth picking now couple of rash charges out and got them both wrong

So for those without the benefit of Matt Baileys commentary - he has been told that Walton has a slight finger injury which is why Collins is playing - fair enough if thats true

Seems barmy to have him on the bench though. Either fit to play or isn't. If Collins goes off then what? Just hope Middlesbrough don't put the ball anywhere near his finger?

Not really if its a minor injury it makes sense to not risk it if you dont have to but know he should be OK if something does happen to Collins

Risk management. Clearly struber thinks the risk of aggregating the injury is greater than the risk of playing Collins, but not greater than the risk of playing Kendrick.
