When we have 3 or 4 players around an opposition player with the ball why do we hang back a bit and sometimes let them pass the ball even if it’s backwards. Surely somebody could make a tackle with those odds
It puts pressure on the ball and doesn't give them time to do exactly what they want with it. A hurried inaccurate pass is the result which eventually breaks down and we get the ball back as we have seen so many times this season. It's not rocket science. COYR.
Wendy like hoofball. Pace over the top was our weakness. By dropping deeper when tje centre half had tje ball cramps tje space on behind.
In a few games recently, we’ve done this - three or four round the ball but no-one looking to actually win it - the opposition have passed to a colleague, moved the ball quickly and suddenly we’ve been left exposed. Need to work on it more and either win the ball or not commit so many.
We put the full 11 round him and it wouldn’t cover it you mean like when they move it and we have three or four men stranded because it doesn’t always end in a hurried pass?
