Sorry, I know the debate is done and gone now but this turned up recently at the club from the observer at the game. And now I'll get back in my box. Good luck for the rest of the season by the way. https://www.echo-news.co.uk/sport/1...-for-disallowed-fa-cup-goal-against-barnsley/
Any documentary evidence? It's not Watergate but in this propaganda driven mad world we exist in you never know.
I reckon the chances of seeing the email are pretty remote, but I can't see why Chris Powell would mention something like that to the press if it hadn't happened. The final score was 4-2 so it's irrelevant now but I couldn't resist popping on here and letting you all know.
We would still have run down the pitch and got the winner and sickened you even more. Stick to 4 2 it’s kinder LOL.
A Southend fan has submitted a request to the FA saying the tie should be replayed because if the goal had been allowed to stand, the final outcome could have been different.
Which will be as unsuccessful as our 'goal' appeals were. I do wish some wouldn't do stuff like this, it just looks cheap.
You are right , it would be embarrassing for you club , lets face it , if clubs wanted re matches every time a decision was wrong, then it would be farcical as mistakes are part of the game, no officials make them on purpose & sometimes they go with you & sometimes they don "t.
