    It was pure comedy gold as he steamed onto the pitch.

    I commented when they stuck 3 minutes on at half time.

    It took him longer than 3 minutes to get to the player.

    I hated the reception

    He’s overweight yes

    But I honestly felt sorry for that guy

    Hardly the poster boy for the health and fitness industry. Doubt it bothers him he took it all in good jest and if being obese bothered him I'm sure he would do something about it.

    This. Absolutely disgraceful to hear the jokes and insults thrown at him. Buying them time and not taking player off the pitch, fine, criticise that, but insults for what someone looks like? Disappointing.

    He probably hears the same stuff every week. I guess it doesn't bother him in the least, I know it wouldn't bother me.

    I doubt that anyone who took the pi55 today would do the same outside of a football ground but football definitely brings the best and worst out of people. Most of us regularly shout abuse at a referee while we would not dream of doing the same outside of a football ground.

    It's not nice but I'm sure he just brushes it off and doesn't give it a second thought.
