But selects Isgrove who has played a grand total of 0 games this season and also does not select Hedges who is second only to Bradshaw in terms of goals scored.

Out of interest, if these 2 teams played each other at Oakwell in a full on practice match:
    1) Who would win?
    2) Who would you have as the managers ?

    :) ;)

Exactly I am behind Hemsy on this occasion. I wouldn't have mentioned Yiadom either. Injured, doesn't want to play for us and tried to force a move away by giving an interview to the press without permission. When he's fit I would keep him in the stands still where he sat with Hourihane for the Sunderland game and sell him 1st of January.

So how does Isgrove justify a selection and Hedges not in either 11 ?

Maybe because they actually want to be at the club? Me personally, i'd have him starting if fit. I get that he may have upset some fans by turning his back on the club in the summer.

Pay him every week to sit in the stand then come January get less for him because he hasn't been playing, brilliant idea

That was something I'd hoped people would mention. Honestly, think it would be close. Fully fit that alternative 11 are a pretty good side.

Interested to understand where your view of Cavare is from?

I've seen him play 20 mins for the under 23s where he looked disinterested, did absolutely nothing, feigned injury to come off and where the manager shouted for all to hear that he was coming off, injured or not.

I do not think we are a club that can afford to pay wages to a good championship full back to sit in the stands. Surely , playing him , puts him in the shop window , thus increasing the chances of getting a decent fee for him & obviously he will have to play to the top of his game if he still wants to engineer a move away.

It would probably be the first team, but it would be close. I couldn't pick between these two teams though, both of which are very strong:

    Barnes Bradshaw Isgrove
    McGeehan Bird Moncur
    Fryers Lindsay Pinnock Yiadom
    Davies

    Hammill Thiam Hedges
    Gardner Williams Potts
    Pearson Jackson MacDonald McCarthy
    Townsend

I agree they’re a bit strange but I’d be surprised if Yiadom plays more than 10 times from now on for us

I've got to defend Hemmsy here, this was a very positive post pointing out the how good our squad is.

However, you can't blame people for assuming the worse, due to his past posting history...

Do you know what i am getting sick of this. Pointing the finger at my "bullying". Please do enlighten me on my bullying posts. If you do not like what i post then maybe put me on ignore or perhaps go and complain to site admin but in the mean time please give me examples of my bullying style so that i can learn from you and move on.

    Torrent of abuse?

Or folk disagreeing with him and questioning his choices.

I can't personally see why Yiadom's excluded whilst Isgrove and Cavare are included as that decision clearly isn't down to Yiadom currently being injured. Slightly baffled that Yiadom doesn't feature at left or right back ahead of Cavare, Pearson or Fryers but it's an opinions game so fair enough.

Irrespective of the above, your post does highlight the squad's strength in depth and PH will have a serious headache if/when the vast majority of those players are eligible for selection as he'll be looking at between 22-25 options.

Let's just hope that competition for places brings out the best in the players.

I agree with this we should play yiadom when fit he is the best full back we have. We should always be playing our best 11 possible to gain as many points as we can. (admittedly I haven't seen cavare play yet as I haven't been to a friendly for 20 years). Yiadom was one of the best full backs in the championship last season statistically so for that reason i wouldnt leave him in the stands.
