Terry Butcher all over again?
Terry Butcher's record was extremely patchy to say the least when he flirted with us. You can't really say the same for Ross, though he doesn't have a long cv.
3 million compo LOL!!
They certainly seem to rate him though. They are sh1tting themselves. Would feel quite bad for them if it happened and they subsequently flunked promotion
I just love the fact that they think he will leave them for a Premier League Club if any.
Butcher only used Barnsley and their offer to get himself a better offer from Inverness where he was happy to stay. Played the system really.
And you are right Churton. Ross has came from nowhere. Was appointed manager at Saints when they were rock bottom. Sorted out the playing staff. Quietly got players out and in and I suspect revamped their scouting system. Now all of a sudden his efforts are being recognised. Can he do similar elsewhere or has this all just been a flash in the pan. Time will tell.
I think they’ve still got the monk on about when we nicked Jim dobbin and kenny burns off them
Jim Dobbin came from drfc. Kenny burns never played pro soccer in scotland
"He's still in touch with Stevie Mallen, so he will recommend Barnsley to him (Ross)"........errr , u think so???
A thread on there entitled 'so-and-so (a forumer) is a fcuking vvankbag' has ran to five pages.
Makes this place look serene!
As Jack Ross has recently signed a three year contract, whether he comes to us may depend on his contract having a 'buy-out' clause.
They seem a good set. No 'teams like Barnsley' for a change
Feel for them, we know how ironically ***** it is when success jeopardises your team
I think he would come to us, regardless of where they are in the Scottish championship. St. Mirren are basically a mid table league one team
But they are not. They are running away with the league.
What I’m saying is.. if St mirren were in the English division they would be a mid table league one side
They’re basically us in Scotland and I have every sympathy for them.
Ross is clearly well thought of and I can see why they are desperate for him to stay.
It’s a cruel thing, the food chain.
Whether we get him or not I wish them well and have now adopted them as my Scottish team.
Yeah I agree or even below. They are playing some really good football atm but at the level of Scottish Championship. Got a guy in their team who has signed for Celtic but will remain with Saints until the end of the season. But they are the best side in the division and league position bears that out.
