Noticedtheyve a thread 88 pages long calling for his sacking .. from a year ago mined.. be good to see him tekkin the step up to EFL pro soccer level ..
Some of them on there have no clue about us at all, claiming we go through a lot of managers, and that we wouldn’t be interested in Jack Ross, we’ll be wanting a quick fix, and go for a journey man, and so on. It’s over three years since we last sacked a manager, the last two have gone on to bigger budget clubs on much bigger wages, having been backed by a board and recruitment comity that found them some very very good players to work with, the past two head coaches at Barnsley Football Club have been exactly like Jack Ross, and in keeping with the recruitment plan we have in place, he’s young, on a upward curve in his career, he’s got his team playing football in the right way, he’s proved at the level he is operating at that he can improve players on the training ground, and get results by working hard and not simply buying success. I think he’s exactly the type of head coach that we’ll be looking for, and I don’t think we are as bad a club to work for as they seem to think we are.
St Mirren will be playing back in the SPL next year. Will he swap that for a relegation scrap with us? Also, look at his CV. As a player he left Hartlepool after 23 games following recuperation from an injury, claiming he was homesick. Such were his feelings at the time that the matter was apparently only settled after he and his agent paid compensation to Hartlepool. So coming further south instead of managing in the SPL? Hmm.
Only reason I want him aside from the good job he has done at st mirren.. is because he might get the best out if Mallan. Fresh ideas and a confident Mallan would probably give us a bit more going forward
