    I was on Simvastatin for years but had to have it increased due to high ‘bad’ cholesterol level . I started having real problems with my joints and was told by a medical friend that if you are prone to arthritis or muscular problems ( which I am ) the GP should not prescribe Simvastatin as it aggravates any underlying joint problems . On atorvastatin now , definitely improved things

    statins dont even work half the time. go back to your docs especially if your joints start hurting

    Similar - been on them for 3 years and no problems tbh. It’s a case of what suits.
