Can you explain to me how 96 people would have died if there had been no fences that day?
Don't start with the police at fault line, I accept and detest their guilt that day and afterwards.

Can you explain to me which football fan in the build up to Hillsborough decided it was a good idea to use fences at football?

Predictably you're evading the point. Why was there a need for fences or any other solution?

This thread is half a dozen posts away from Keith insulting someone again, or playing that tedious trump card of the ill-informed, ‘snowflake’.

There is no point. If youd raise a valid one I’ll respond.

In other words you know full well you have no argument.
The fences were there as a response to hooliganism. Are you saying hooliganism was a good thing? Getting your head kicked in for wearing the wrong colour scarf?
You can argue all you like about whether they were the best solution. Nevertheless they were the response to the cancer of hooliganism in football. No hooliganism, no fences.
The conditions for Hillsborough were created by hooliganism. The police then royally f****d up. That sheer incompetence of criminal proportions would not have had the same consequences without the hooligan inspired fences being in place.
People like you just cannot accept that there are consequences to the knuckledraggers among us putting their own interests above those of others. The desire to be "a bit naughty" and smash peoples heads in was a horrific disgrace and it's disgusting that people apologise for it or refuse to accept the part it played in tragedy.

Again, could you point out to me which football hooligan came up with the idea to erect fences at stadiums? Which football hooligan decided to open the exit gates?

Are you incapable of understanding cause and effect?
Again......no one is defending the police.
Again.....if there had been no fences as a response to hooliganism then no amount of bad policing could have created the end result.
Were the police to blame? Yes
Were hooligans to blame for creating that environment in which the game was played? Yes.

Are you incapable of answering a simple question? Again, which football hooligan came up with the idea of erecting fences at football stadiums?

I assume that's directed at me.
    Why were fences erected?
