World class - wow. We are talking Messi, Moore, Banks, Eusebio, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zidane etc etc

Fecking Terry, Rio and Campbell - England's elite that got to a quarter final at best.

Now you're talking elite, all time greats.

There's plenty of world class footballers about. At the minute in the Prem I'd say there's De Bruyne, Aguero, Silva, Zlatan (maybe slightly past it), Hazard, Ozil & Alexis who fall into that category.

Lots of great footballers haven't won major trophies. Giggs never even went to a tournament never mind make a quarter final & he was still world class

Like l said, world class is overused, fine examples in this thread. I was merely stating how that so called world class defence not individual didn't win anything on an international level or even come close, we all know unless your Hemsy that for an individual player it doesn't matter whats in the trophy cabinet in relevance to how good they were.

Weren't Giggs the most decorated player in football or summat? Pity he chose Wales mind, worst decision of his career.

He does make normally dull England games a bit more exciting, if for whatever reason you still care about the England team though it's probably more like terrifying.
