    Nah its the coaching he got here aged 8 to 10 that put that in him. So good even the Blunts couldnt spoil him ;)

    Absolutely brilliant.

    I had absolutely no interest in this World Cup when it started. But Southgate and this team have restored and returned my passion for the national team. I honestly thought I had lost it for good. And it’s great seeing players like Stones, Maguire, Kane and Trippier doing so well & be likeable and relatively down to earth.

    I’m enjoying it most because I really didn’t expect to. I’m not quite back to the giddy heights I had through the 90’s and 00’s (even though 90 and 96 asside its been fairly dire). They just seem like a decent bunch of lads and I really like Southgate. Didn’t think he had it in him, but just another of the million or so times I show I know absolutely nothing about football!!

    And you just know if that dinosaur allardyce was still in charge we’d be watching the Jones and Smallings of this world . This group have a great chance but they’ll be so much better in another four years !
