Do we really need another? Assuming Woodrow stays..

Just read that he’s gone back to Brentford due to an ankle injury.

    I think we need two!

One as a direct alternative/competitor for Woodrow - Schmidt is nowhere near ready and should go out on loan.

I'd then consider breaking the 'no loans' rule and bring in a young striker from the prem with the goal of using them as an impact sub in games where a change is needed, or if Chaplin/Brown are struggling.

At the moment, I think one injury up top would be enough to write off our slim chances.

Struber wants a small squad. No chance of having five strikers on the books.

Nit sure a prem team would be willing to loan someone out with the role of impact sub. They ll want them to get league matches under their belt.

Could do with a Jon Macken up front alongside Woody or Chaplin

And we've been struggling for goals. Let's ditch this free moving front three and get an immobile striker up top ......

We still need a striker, an injury to brown or chaplin and we have nobody ready to step up. Schmidt isnt the answer, we need someone who can come on and make a difference from the bench.

I liked seeing Thiam on the bench against Huddersfield. If we don't move him on I think he can have a bigger impact than Wilkes, although I'm sure many will disagree.

Don't forget we have Woodrow and then options for the #10 role. And if we're in the ascendancy and chasing the game Schmidt can be the difference off the bench. Scored the winner against Millwall and was really unlucky not to get the winner away at Wigan.

He plays up front in a two with Chaplin. We don't play centre forwards.

I would definitely look seriously at Forss. His scoring record is good in youth teams and for AFC Wimbledon this season, scoring regularly in a struggling side. Worth a look, but it seems as though Brentford have recalled him to cover for their own injuries. Shame if that's the case. A good prospect, no doubt.
