Not to mention incompetent. One of the worst Home Secretaries we've ever had.

It's because the Daily Mail, Sun and all the other right-wing comics + all the TV news channels and their reporters say so.

    Quite true, awful Home Secretary.

She could have fixed immigration then we wouldn't have needed all this Brexit nonsense.

The EU free movement of people is only allowed if after a few months they have a job, study or independent means of supporting themselves.

She did nothing to implement this rule, she did nothing to implement a system of checking how many are coming and going through our borders, she ran down the Border Force and the Police Force then wondered why it all went tits up.

    Despicable woman.

Amen to that. Unfortunately she will be the PM after the next General Election. I don't remember being this despondent about politics during the Thatcher/Major years. My hatred of the Tory Party has hit new heights when I thought it had already Plateud

I keep hoping that her general incompetence also extends to overconfidence in predicting the best time to hold an election.

Watching Question Time on BBC 1. A guy has just said " the Tories have not divulged any policies they will implement if they form the new Government in a June. All they are doing is bashing on about Brexit and slinging mud at Jeremy Corbyn."
I think that Boris Johnson was out of order with what he had to say about the Labour leader today.

That's a brilliant post. But it can't help but lead you to the question: why aren't Corbyn and Labour publicising this speech at every opportunity? It's an absolute gift, and seriously undermines May's credibility. Sadly, we have a Labour leader who not only fails to convert open goals, but scores a few own ones by antics such as promoting his own unilateralist stance (a perfectly reasonable position to hold) in direct defiance of his party's conference-agreed position on the issue. And Corbyn is not even the worst, compared to the likes of McDonnell and Milne, to say nothing of the malevolent influence of McCluskey. You can't begin to implement your own agenda if you can't make enough appeal to get elected in the first place. And that includes appealing to voters who are not your natural supporters. And I know the vile right wing press harms his cause, but by God he gives them so much ammunition.

It's being reported that the Tories have hired Obama's former campaign Manager Jim Messina.
He apparently claims that your average voter spends four minutes per week thinking about politics.
His advice is that you therefore hammer home any key message in the hope it squeezes into that four minute timeframe.

They hope that the electorate then end up repeating their phrases such as "long term economic plan", " cost of living crisis" or in this case " strong and stable".
As at 27th April the phrase has been uttered 25 times in the Commons, 16 times during Prime Ministers Questions and 12 times in Theresa May's speech to the point it is leading to election ennui.

One MP (Paul Flynn) asked the Speaker if a microchip with the phrase on it had been implanted into Tory MP's so that they say "strong and stable " every 18 seconds. The large dwarf replied that it was not the Speakers job to comment on such a suggestion.

Must admit my current fave is "Coalition of Chaos". I keep expecting them to turn up as a new tag team on WWE with May guesting as Pall Bearer.

Anyway, surely the only coalition of chaos is that which she created from Nob-end Boris, Fascist Fox and Dopey Davis?

No TV stations or mainstream newspapers are interested in reporting anything that is anti-Tory.
The words "not a fair playing field" would be a good mantra.

They ( Tories) are getting boring now. Can't think why we ( Labour) are not mounting a more robust campaign and like Orsen rightly remarked not sticking to the party's agreed position instead of expounding a personal opinion/agenda.

The problem for Corbyn is trying to appease the Blarites so the agenda gets blurred. He should have purged the lot when they continued to undermine him.
