There aren’t many who can say they’ve seen you, Sudden, Kusworth and Darrell Bath share a stage. Doesn’t seem like 2 minutes ago and now you’re the only one left.

My lad has been doing well with his music. He’s got his piano level 3 coming up and he’s been having bass lessons for a while now and is doing really well with that. He’s joined a band at school and they’re practising to perform at the end of school show, but when I asked whether he’ll be on keyboards or bass he said neither, guitar! He’s been teaching himself a bit and he’s had his bass teacher help him, but he doesn’t half know how to challenge himself. So he’s now learning three instruments, plus the mouth organ (he’s bought one of those contraptions Dylan and Donovan had fastened to their guitars) and his mum has bought him some drums. He already has 3 bass guitars, including a McCartney style Hoffner, and an acoustic guitar I bought him a while back, but he’s off shopping for an electric guitar next week for his birthday. He’s gonna look for a decent second hand one. I don’t know whether he has a specific one in mind. But he’s chosen music and drama as his options, so he has a definite plan in mind. If he even does half as well as Slacki’s lad he’ll do well.
