I thought of you and Conan straight away when I saw the announcement. Personally, I have no interest in it whatsoever, but there's no doubt of it's popularity and that definitely seems to be increasing.
It's a great thing whether you like Cycling or not. This year's TDY brought in £64 million and about 2million visitors and spectators over 3 days. It's a great TV sport,it shows Yorkshire in a positive light. If the National Tourist board would promote us as much,we would have many more tourists than we do. The TDY is extremely popular around Europe and well liked with the organisation. London and UK Cycling keep trying to put on events in compete to undermine the race, but it just doesn't work.
